Amanda Nadin
Amanda Nadin is an experienced healthcare leader with over 20 years' experience across the NHS and the charity sector, leading programmes that improve care, education and support for people affected by cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. Throughout her career, she has brought organisations together to design and deliver innovative services that improve patient experience, reduce health inequalities and strengthen collaboration across health, social care and the voluntary sector.
Amanda is currently Healthcare Training Lead at the Ruth Strauss Foundation, where she leads the national education programme for cancer and palliative care professionals across the UK. She works with NHS organisations, hospices and healthcare providers to deliver evidence-based training that improves communication, supports families facing serious illness and promotes compassionate, person-centred care. Previously, she established and led the Peninsula Cancer Academy, creating a regional education programme that has transformed workforce development for cancer professionals across Devon and Cornwall.
Before this, Amanda spent over a decade at Macmillan Cancer Support in a variety of senior programme and partnership roles, overseeing major service improvement programmes, managing multi-million-pound charitable investments and developing innovative community-based initiatives to improve access to cancer support, particularly for underserved communities. She has extensive experience in strategic planning, governance, quality improvement, partnership development and programme leadership.
Amanda brings significant expertise in charity governance, strategic leadership and organisational development, alongside a strong commitment to improving the wellbeing of people living with and beyond cancer. She is passionate about creating supportive communities where people feel connected, empowered and able to thrive.
As a Trustee of Into the Blue, Amanda is excited to help shape the charity's future, ensuring it grows sustainably while remaining true to its mission of improving the physical and emotional wellbeing of people affected by cancer through the therapeutic benefits of cold water swimming and connection with nature.
